A watchdog gets exposed to a substance that gives him the powers of a superhero. He is adopted by a 12-year-old boy and uses his superpower to protect his love and the citizens of Capitol City (actually it’s our beloved Providence, Rhode Island) from the evil Simon Barsinister played by Peter Dinklage.
Okay, Underdog was a favorite cartoon when I was a kid but I was nervous about this movie. Now, having seen the latest trailer I’m really looking forward to the movie. I don’t think it’s merely because I’m familiar with all the scenes and many people I know and their dogs were extras. The movie just looks cute and Peter Dinklage is a great actor (did you see The Station Agent
Look for this movie to be release later this Summer and don’t listen to those too hip to think this might be good. I think it’ll be a fun Summer movie.
