Yeah, this isn’t exactly new for us, the SFC doesn’t understand us. Heck, they cancel the good shows and put on Wrestling instead. Like, what’s that got to do with science fiction? But it’s cheap television for them, and unfortunately it’s getting the ratings. Of course, it would get the ratings on any channel so why not put it on one of their other stations!
Okay, so what’s the latest offense? At DragonCon last month the actors from Battlestar Gallatica told the audience that although Sci Fi Channel has ordered 20 episodes for wrapping up the series, they will only air 10 of these episodes in 2008, and wait until 2009 to air the rest. Jamie Bamber said this way they get two seasons for the price of one.
Now, I’d like to know, will they be charging the devoted fans half price for the dvd season sets? Or won’t there be any fans left by that point so it doesn’t matter?
Stop jerking us around Sci Fi Channel. A little respect. That’s all we want.
