The latest Indiana Jones movies is slated to get released May 22, 2008! We here in the club are excited and are looking forward to it. Yeah, Indy’s getting a little old but he’s been a fixture as long as we (or just about). Hey, who didn’t grow up with these movies? At least in this movie the old action hero won’t be teamed up with a 19 year old starlet!
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will star (of course) Harrison Ford, and co-starring will have the return of Karen Allen, along with everyone’s favorite up and comer, Shia LaBeouf.
Shia LaBeouf is rumored to be Indy and Marion’s “love child” from the first Indy movie.
Reading articles on the movie and the “MacGuffin” that this will be using as it’s plot pivot, I’m afraid that it’s veered too far from the usual Indy archeology exploits, but since it’s just a guess I’ll keep it to myself instead of dragging everyone down with me. You can dig around if you want more spoilers than I’ve already dealt (and you will, too, won’t you?).
Set in 1957, the new film sets Indy against Russian Cold Warriors, including Cate Blanchett as Agent Spalko.
