I just got an email from R.A. Salvatore’s new publisher Tor, regarding some cool promotions they are doing in conjunction with his latest book, The Ancient.
First, Tor will be sponsoring an online sweepstakes at www.sagaofthefirstking.com where book club participants can register for a chance to win a 30 minute phone call from R.A. Salvatore to personally discuss The Ancient with him. Winners will also receive signed copies of a DVD interview and signed books.
Secondly, special signed copies of The Ancient will be available in bookstores nationwide this week. Salvatore hand-signed 10,000 copies of his book and these copies have been randomly shipped to stores along with unsigned copies.
The Ancient is the first of four books in a new series entitled Saga of the First King. It is set in the early days of Corona, which was the setting for Salvatore’s bestselling DemonWars Saga.
