Tales of Rocky Point Park

toRP2 Here’s a memory for most of us Rhode Islanders — and many outside the state as well. Our well loved Rocky Point is now the basis for an independent comic book written and illustrated by Jason Mayoh. Tales of Rocky Point chronicles the strange and mysterious rumors and urban legends about the now defunct Rocky Point Amusement Park in a style reminiscent of Weird Tales.

Issue # 1 focuses on the park’s infamous dark ride, the House of Horrors…. What happened after the park closed? Was there a curse that revolved around the house of horrors? Why were the ride’s cars left inside for more than 10 years? What happened to the mysterious viking statue that stood atop the ride?

ToRP cover 1 The second issue digs deeper into the mysterious curse that plagued Rocky Point since its inception, and focuses on the mysterious incidents that revolved around the Skyliner ride.
